NCCC's art department proved to be much more than a typical "community college" education. i quickly learned, many of NCCC's professors taught at four year schools with acclaimed art departments, and now, we they were bringing their talents to us- sort of like "diamond in the rough" education... almost 10 years later at my job, i think about lessons learned at NCCC. for the price, for the professors, for the experience... i feel so lucky to have been able to grow via the NCCC art department. they stick with you. you won't be sorry. it is the best deal around for the foundation you would find at a four year... yet ten times inexpensive. NCCC was my best educational investment, and probably my most important. if i had a choice to do it again differently, i wouldn't. thank you NCCC!

"NCCC is the solid foundation of my art school career. Even the big fancy school I transferred to seemed ordinary after the great experience I had at NCCC. The teachers are supremely talented, personable and serious about what they do. I graudated with a Fine Art: VIsual Communication Associate's Degree in 2001. It was the best school choice I could have made."

After deciding to go back to college I started to take classes at NCCC. I started off with only taking 1 or 2 classes a semester until I realized how good the art classes actually were. For the price I was paying, I felt I was getting just as good an education as other art colleges, if not better. The instructors were not only knowledgeable and skilled but also quite caring. The classes went beyond just the basics and there are techniques that I still use to this day in my projects.
I am glad to have gone to NCCC and taken with me not just 2 degrees but also the knowledge and skills of various art forms and techniques that I otherwise would not have been taught.

"Constructive Criticism" are two words that stick with me today that I had to learn to accept in Art. A lot of people in the real world want things done their own way. The Art Department at NCCC certainly instilled higher expectations for quality, effort, and results. The instuctors and Professors helped me as much as they possibly can. Getting wonderful, valuable historic information made me feel cultured and able to relate to Art in many ways since Graduation. Creativity is limitless and only limited by the creator. The art deptartment program at NCCC was the best program to challenge me who I am as an individual, then who I am as an artist, and who I will be as a professional. |
